Puneet Seth Md’s Expertise I am a practicing medical doctor + technologist, having dedicated my career to building digital health tools to improve community-based care. My deeply held belief is that advancing technology, such as AI, has the capacity to unlock massive gains in the betterment of our health and enable true disease prevention. However, this won’t happen in the best interests of human kind without thoughtful intention and the bringing together of ideas and minds across disciplines. This is what I hope to do. I helped build and lead a next-generation electronic medical record (EMR) company called InputHealth as President and Chief Medical Officer (2013-2020). We created the Collaborative Health Record (CHR) - a reimagining of the EMR as a care delivery solution. We were acquired by Canada’s largest EMR vendor in 2020, TELUS Health (serving over 35,000 clinicians), and I spent over 2 years there helping steward innovation and building a path for AI integration. I am now dedicated to advancing the utilization of AI in care delivery, particularly in primary care, and hope to make real preventative health an achievable reality. I’m doing this by advising startups and companies building meaningful AI for healthcare; by teaching and inspiring medical students, residents, and graduate students in various disciplines; by conducting clinical research to validate new technologies; and by writing extensively on the topic and meeting brilliant people.
